Student Achievement – First Place at Phoenix Suns STEM Fest

Rehan Mohammed, earned first place at the Phoenix Suns STEM Fest during the Honeywell Aerospace STEM Pitch Competition held at the Footprint Center. Rehan’s project, “Operation Green Court: The Carbon Impact of Renewable Basketball Gear,” explored the connection between sports and environmental science. His research demonstrated that renewable materials in athletic footwear can significantly reduce CO2 emissions. I would like to extend a special thank you to Ms. Bermet, our engineering teacher, for her guidance and support throughout this process, as well as to all of Rehan’s teachers and staff members who contributed to his success. This achievement reflects the strength of our STEM program and our continued commitment to providing meaningful, real-world learning experiences for our students.
