We are a free, public charter K-12 school with a small-school feeling in the middle of Phoenix. We have a multicultural staff and student body, and partner with nonprofits and clubs nearby to provide community information to the families in our school community.
We also host family events such as multicultural potluck meals, a friendship picnic, festivals, fairs and fundraisers. We participate in statewide science, math and technology competitions, and emphasize skill-level education with individualized instruction. We have a 100% college acceptance rate.
We emphasize a scientific approach, hands-on work, computer literacy and the ability of students to use data and articulate a thesis.
Our educational philosophy and approach to learning. STEM-focused education is not just about programs; it is about a STEM culture.

What Our Parents Say
Sonoran Science Academy Phoenix is an outstanding school with a golden heart. Many of the teachers there are dedicated to the students and families and have been at this school for over five years. Alumni are active in the school, they donate their time to the award winning Robotics and Lego clubs.
Teachers are experienced energetic and engaged as well. The class sizes are one of a few reasons I picked Sonoran Science Academy Phoenix. The leadership is very strong.
There is a diversity of students and teachers who are so patient and dedicated. I love the vision of the school which is STEM focused education. I feel lucky that we have this type of school in our neighborhood.
