Paragon Science Academy student Saraa traveled to Washington, D.C. this summer to attend the official Gold Medal Ceremony. Her achievement reflects over 400 hours of community service, along with more than 200 hours of personal development and physical fitness.We are so proud of Saraa and can’t wait to see what she accomplishes next!
Here’s what Saraa shared about her journey:
“From a 9th-grade girl sitting in a Congressional Award info session thinking, ‘How could I ever achieve the Gold Medal? This seems impossible…’ — to proudly receiving that very medal this summer.
After logging over 400 hours of community service, dedicating countless hours to personal development, and pushing through many challenges, I did it.
This journey has taught me the value of discipline, the importance of long-term goals, and the incredible rewards that come from commitment and hard work. I’ve grown in ways I never imagined.
I’m deeply grateful for all that this program has taught me—and for the amazing support I received along the way. A huge thank you to Paragon Science Academy for introducing me to this life-changing opportunity, and to my mentor, Ms. Asli, for her constant encouragement, guidance, and belief in me from start to finish.”
